Sliding glass doors are tricky. There are 2 locks per door and each door is different. If vertical doesn’t work, try horizontal until you get it! 😊 When locking, make sure the 2 doors are completely snug to each other. There is a safety mechanism that will not allow you to lock them otherwise.
Please do not flush anything down the toilets other than toilet paper. Even paper towels (and bikini tops) will clog up our old drainage system. That is not a pretty sight (or smell)
The blue boxing key hanging inside the downstairs door opens the garage(blue key) and toolshed (red key)
Take all trash out of house, into outdoor trash cans. Do NOT leave trash bags on ground by stairs as this has stained the deck. Cans are in tool shed. Trash gets put out Sunday and Wednesday night for pickup very early Monday & Thursday.
Recycling goes in blue bins in toolshed and gets picked up EARLY Thursday morning. Put out Wednesday night. Please read brochure on kitchen counter about what is recyclable. Do your part! If recycling overflows please make a run to the recycling center located at our Town Hall at 17425 Gulf Blvd (1.2 miles away)
Big Air fan switch is on wall by refrigerator as is the remote. Make sure to return remote to the wall
Yes we have remote cameras installed in the house. We can see the Patio, Beach, Driveway and Great Room upstairs-so don’t walk around naked! Especially on the beach.
Good luck with TV. We do not have cable. Good advice (if you MUST watch TV) is to bring a Roku or other device. Better advice-enjoy the serenity! Shane has donated HULU now and there is a Roku upstairs.

There are 6 Sonos speakers if you know how to connect to them. (you need the app) Speakers get moved around so room labels are not always in the right location.
Keep kitchen counters free of food/debris. We have had ants.
The blue and white remotes control the patio awnings and balcony shades. The big blue button cycles through the 4 red diodes. Left 2 red lights control the awnings and right 2 control the upstairs shades. Then the up-arrow closes them and the down-arrow opens them. Make sure they get put back inside the doors, one upstairs and one down. If they don’t work, check the outdoor plug under the stairs, it may have tripped.
It is too hard to explain the mister/heating system. I can walk it through with you if you would like.
Do not sit on the indoor furniture in wet swim suits
Please spray sunscreen on outside. It leaves a sticky film on every surface, attracts dirt, and is impossible to remove.
Beach towels are in utility room downstairs. Do not wash colored towels with white towels. (yes I have to say this!) But how about you save energy and let your towels dry outside
Please shake or hose all sand off beach items before bringing back to garage or beach chair shed.
Please wash off all sand from feet at outdoor shower on north (there’s that word again) side of house before entering house.
No smoking in the house

Clean gas grill after each use. Best way is to burn debris off with closed lid on high for 10 minutes. Then scrape. Turn off valve to Propane tank. Back up propane is in tool shed. Refill empty one please.
No fires on the beach. No glass either. You will get fined.
NO lights are to be visible from the beach at night during Turtle season (May – October) Keep the blinds drawn at night and patio lights off. Respect the Turtle Nests and do not disturb. They are marked.
Be mindful of our neighbors and keep outside noise down late at night. This includes Karaoke 🙂 They live here.
